TIRANA, Dec 29 /ATA/ – The Financial Supervisory Authority (AFSA) and the National Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) signed Friday a Memorandum of Understanding defining the responsibilities for processing data in the framework of national statistics data processing under the Official Statistics Program.
In addition, the two institutions will collaborate on drafting strategic plans in the field of statistics, improving the methodology of existing statistics, methods and techniques, through working groups and regular exchange of formal and technical documents.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Chief Executive General Director of AFSA, Ervin Koçi, and the INSTAT Director General, Delina Ibrahimaj.
AFSA and INSTAT agree to jointly conduct statistical business and consumer surveys. Conducting such surveys is in line with AFSA’s legal objectives to protect the interests of consumers and investors and promote the sustainability, transparency and reliability of markets under AFSA’s supervision.
